Southampton Garden Club Flower Shows

The purpose of a flower show is threefold: to set standards of artistic and horticultural excellence; to broaden knowledge of horticulture, floral design, conservation, photography and other related areas; and to share the beauty of a show with fellow club members and with the public…from the Garden Club of America Flower Show & Judging Guide, July 2014 Edition

The purpose of The Garden Club of America is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening;to share the advantage of association by means of educational meetings, conferences, correspondenceand publications; and to restore, improve and protect the quality of the environment through educational programs and action in fields of conservation and civic improvement.

The Southampton Garden Club is proud to support the ideals and purpose of the Garden Club of America

One of the main missions of The Southampton Garden Club is to share the knowledge and love of gardening through the hosting and staging of public flower shows.

The club is fortunate to have a number of special trophies gifted by past members, their families and friends.

These trophies were given in memory of specific members and are awarded, if merited, by GCA judges at SGC flower shows.

While only SGC members are eligible to receive these awards, not all trophies are awarded at every show.
